Robert was born in 1138 in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, England.  Robert's father was Saher de Quincy and his mother was Maud de Senlis.  His paternal grandparents are Richard de Quincy and Not Filled.  He was an only child.  He died before September 1198 in England.
