Julia was born on June 22nd, 1837 in Liverpool. Julia's father was Patrick Donovan and her mother was Mary Holland. Her paternal grandparents are Patrick Donovan and Catherine Kenefeck; her maternal grandparents are JOHN DONOVAN and MARY HOLLAND. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Daniel, Thomas, Richard, John, Susanna and Ellen. She is the second youngest of the seven children.
