John Joseph was born in 1915 in DERRYCOOSH, KILKELLY, COUNTY MAYO, IRELAND. John Joseph's father was Patrick Behan and his mother was Mary Behan. His paternal grandparents were William Behan and Elizabeth Walsh. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Anthony, Patrick, Tom, Michael, James M., Thomas, Ellen "Nellie", Annie Kate and Mary "Molly". He was the second youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named John Joseph. He died at the age of 82 on July 17th, 1997 in DERRYCOOSH, KILKELLY, COUNTY MAYO, IRELAND.
