King James IV "Iron Belt" was born on March 17th, 1473 in Stirling Castle, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.  King James IV "Iron Belt"'s father was King James III and his mother was Margaret of Denmark Queen of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were King James II of Scots Stewart "Firey Face" and Queen Marie Von Guelders of Scotland; his maternal grandfather was Christian I of Denmark and his maternal grandmother is Dorothea of Brandenburg.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 40 on September 9th, 1513 in Battle of Flodden Field, Near Branxton, Northumberland, England, Europe., .

‌King James IV "Iron Belt" and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony in 1514 in Graz-Umgebung, Styria, Austria.  They had eight sons and six daughters, named Alexander, James, Arthur, James V, Alexander, Duke Ross, Archbishop of St Andrews, Darnley John, Robert, Adam, Catherine, Princess of Scotland #1, Princess of Scotland #2, Mary, Jean Stewart and Margaret.
