Alexander was born about 1493.  Alexander's father was King James IV "Iron Belt" Stewart, Knight of the Order of the Thistle, Baron of Renfrew, Earl of Carrick, and his mother was Margaret Tudor.  His paternal grandparents were King James III and Margaret of Denmark Queen of Scotland; his maternal grandparents were Henry VII Tudor King Of England Earl Of Richmond and Elizabeth of York Plantagenet, Queen Consort of England. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named James, Arthur, James V, Alexander, Duke Ross, Archbishop of St Andrews, Darnley John, Robert, Adam, Catherine, Princess of Scotland #1, Princess of Scotland #2, Mary, Jean Stewart and Margaret. He had a half-sister named Lady Margaret.  He died on September 9th, 1513 in Flodden Field, Northumberland, England.
