Alexander, Duke Ross, Archbishop of St Andrews was born on April 30th, 1514 in Stirling Castle, Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland.  Alexander, Duke Ross, Archbishop of St Andrews' father was King James IV "Iron Belt" Stewart, Knight of the Order of the Thistle, Baron of Renfrew, Earl of Carrick, and his mother was Margaret Tudor.  His paternal grandparents were King James III and Margaret of Denmark Queen of Scotland; his maternal grandparents were Henry VII Tudor King Of England Earl Of Richmond and Elizabeth of York Plantagenet, Queen Consort of England. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named Alexander, James, Arthur, James V, Darnley John, Robert, Adam, Catherine, Princess of Scotland #1, Princess of Scotland #2, Mary, Jean Stewart and Margaret. He had a half-sister named Lady Margaret.  He died at the age of 1 on January 15th, 1516 in Stirling Castle, Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland.
